There shouldn't be need for any choccie-blocks or anything else in a simple HU to speaker connection, just the connectors on the ISO block and the connectors on the speakers.

and then just the connectors at the HU end, you need those to connect the HU to the speaker wire.
So it goes like this:
HU -> connector -> speaker wire......................................................... -> connector (big/little) -> speaker
All speaker wire is doubled up too, so you only need to run 2 lengths of wire through the car, one for each speaker.

the connector after the head unit? will i need to buy one of those, or can i jus use one that already there?
lol, sorry for all the questions!!

you aren't gonna need new cables here. It's not some fancy shmantzy all singing all dancing system. Although the wires you've got arent the best, all you need to do is to replace those two dodgy red connectors with some screw terminal (choccie block) connectors. you can pick em up in halfrauds for just over a quid
From what I see, the wiring isn't neat, and that's probably caused the crimp connectors to pull themselves apart, but its not going to stop things from working.
Basically, chop off the two red ones, expose some wire on each of the 4 ends you now have, and use 2 of the blocks to connect them back up (make a note of which way round they go). Bobs your aunt, working speakers!
You may at some point want to do all the stuff Minis84 is talking about, but why worry now? just get it working and you can have a play when you're feling more confident about ripping the whole lot out!

tried replacing the choccie blocks, tried replacing all the wires! still no luck! think it's the head units fault! stupid thing!
what i dont understand is.....
i thought id be sensible, when i got the new wires i wired everything up (without running the wires thru the car and the speakers in the rear shelf) whislt sat in the front seat with the speakers on my knee, one worked perfectly and the other was incredibly quiet, but it worked! now when i run the wire thru the car, put the speakers in the rear shelf, they go back to only one working and the other not working at all!!!!!! dont get it!!
gonna take it to the garage!
