Zcars really need to get this sorted, a cardboard template that you sit on the floor of the car and draw around would make life a lot easier for people. it also alows you to get on with the shell whilst waiting on the frame.

Ed

and good luck with the build, all the guys on here have a wealth of knowledge, everytime someone builds a car, they make it a bit easier for the next person building a car to effectively make it a better car.

The video also shows the old bike frame cut out and not straight across as it should be. it would be easy to make an assumption that the video is correct (the guy in the video made an ar$e of measuring and cutting it when he made the video ) as i said some simple instructiond pinned on here with do's and dont's for the new builders.

I like to measure once, cut too much then have to add material back to it then cut it too much again............throw it all away and start over....... :-)

always better getting the shell fully painted inside and out prior to fitting the frame. it just means that you have to be careful not to damage the shell whilst putting the frame in. i painted the inside of my car, then fitted the frame. we fully finished the car before we painted the outside of the shell. if i were to build another car i would do the complete shell before fitting the frame.

each to their own really
