Quality Issues - Minispares

Problem is half sorted.
Went to minispares midlands and after much discussion while I sat there for just over an hour, the wipers were re funding/replaced with a new set.
The new set are still smearing slightly but much better than before, il see how long they last.
What is not sorted however is the fuel cap...
I was informed my ORIGINAL PURCHASED DATE for the cap was September 2011, so they would not honour the warrentee, even though i have had two NEW replacements SINCE the original purchase date.
Which on an item which is clearly faulty, is pathetic. The warrenty is therefore just masking the **** quality of the product, now i am left out of pocket.
Meaning i am now stuck with using an old leaky fuel cap while I source a better quality replacement from elsewhere.
For a customer who must of spent thousands over three years, i think this is very poor and was very pissed off.
The offending items have been sent off for a review.
Unhappy customer.
Just like to add that this post does not reflect negatively on the better members of staff at the midlands store (everyone knows who) who i know would of sorted this problem within minutes, not the hour and a half i wasted out my day.

I havent had any issues with minispares, but i avoid buying some items like chrome wiper arms and go for second hand genuine mpi wiper arms with bosch blades which is the best wiper arm/blade combo ive ever had on a mini.

I must say, NK Trading have been very helpful. I'm picking up some panels next week at a Incredible reasonable price. Same non-gen stuff as minispares but at almost half the price.

Called them and they said they had a bad batch of blades and sent me a new set for free (that worked fine), and told me to bin the dodgy set
Iv had nothing but great service and parts from them, and been using them for years.
Go find a rabbits foot to rub, think you had a run of bad luck

Yes I am fully aware that by law they fulfilled their requirement regarding the cap however I don't see that as good customer service in terms of the amount of times it's been replaced + the time and effort I have had to go to to try and resolve it. So you would be happy having yo buy a new fuel cap after its lasted around 6 month? no. you wouldn't. And the example of a car battery is rubbish as that's a wear item where to be honest I don't expect a fuel cap to degrade/break/leak/have the lock come out with the key/leave you stranded after a few months...but that's okay because they fulfilled their 12 months...I'll just buy a new one... hmmm.
After seeing your experience, I'm just gonna clean mine up with auto sol. To be honest I'm not shocked at the quality of new parts. Rover parts are not that great quality they don't need to be made any worse
