Here's some more pics of the exhaust as requested. Yup she's on new plates as well! (Sorry for being a bit slack).

And yes I know I need to lower it a bit at the back. I adjusted the ride height up a bit because the suspension had settled and was about half a centimetre off the bump stops at the front which didn't make for a nice ride! I just adjusted it a little too much at the rear! Doh! I've since Spoken to Peter Vickers who has given me the correct height settings for her.

Oh and a small vid for you as well. She has only just been started so as you can tell she's a bit grumpy! I'll get the wife to take another vid when I take it out next so you can hear it at higher RPM.

They sound the best to me, that's why I've got one. :) Just got it back on the car yesterday (Happy Easter!) I'll get a video up when the engine's going again.

I finally finished putting my new exhaust on about a month ago. It was freeeezing cold in the garage, but the Mini looks so much better now. The old muffler had blown out and was extremely loud. We also found out the manifold had a large crack in it. After installing the new muffler, I was expecting a much deeper tone, but it's seemingly just as loud which has been a bit of a disappointment. Now that the weather is warming up I have to find out whether the noise is being cause by escaping gases or if the whole kit is just that loud.

I've got a Maniflow header and then straight pipe back to a Peco twin pipe center exit muffler. Love the way it looks because it reminds me of the newer Cooper S.

Sorry, the pictures aren't great but you can check it all out on my Blog.

Not the best photos, I might try to take some better ones later.
My I-Have-No-Idea-Which-Make-DTM-Thingy.

I don't like how you see some of these things hanging right down, practically touching the floor, so it's been mounted right up to the belly of the car.
With no middle box, i have such good clearance I rarely have trouble with scraping on bumps! :D It does still need lowering a bit though

Hi all

I know this is an old post and also a little cheeky of me for registering just for an answer to a question I'm struggling with but has anybody got the dimensions of the Fletcher DTM twin back box.

I have a MK1 Eunos and I'd like a centre exit pipe, of course being rear wheel drive theres a bloody great diff in the way so what ever I use I have to negotiate that, so I need to find out if there's room for the mid pipe to loop around the diff etc and line up with the inlet on the box.

Believe me I've emailed company after company trying to find the size but all I get it the pipe diameter and thats about it. Great customer service these days. I'm not wasting anybodies time, if it will fit I'll buy it, simple as that, guess they get too many tyre kickers dreaming.

On another note, some great looking cars on here, I'd have a Mini although I'm to bloody lazy to look after one.

Thanks for any replies.

Mel
