I would just like to know what you guys use to "crimp" the a panel on to the hinge panel lip thingy. as i dont actually have the tool to do this is there any other way i can do it?

but i think there is a proper tool for the job ;D

It is next to imposable to use a hammer and dolly for an "A" panel flange , the best way is to fold it 45 degrees before fitting then use a doorskining tool to fold it over the rest of the way
