the roof was in primer, so i flatted it today, then thought, its stillearly, can i paint it? so i tried!

 

 

 

and i did paint it

 

 

 

 

 

 

what i had to do was push it out of the garage and paint one side then push it back in and paint the other. the problem was pollen and dirt. So it needs a good polish, but even if it messed up, i know now my painting is good, the finish im well happy with.

That came up real nice, I've painted a car in a tight space like that, and can appreciate how hard it is!

i tried to polish it today, went with 1500 first then 2000, then t cut, i should go 3000 i think also but i had non!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

its hard to see int eh pics but i only buffed one side of the roof, and its come out really nice for what it was! There is still some marks, but itll do. The roof is the part that you can see, so with the rest of the car im sure itll look good. So try and paint the front i think next

Today i polised the rest of the roof

 

 

 

 

 

 

i then decided on painting the front next. So i masked it up and put it in high build

 

 

 

 

Hopefully get back on it next week, this weekend will be doing the Lada hopefully, but if its too hot i may do some on the mini as the garage is quite cool.

bit more this morning. I bought a radiator for the garage, the exhaust gas out of the diesel night heater is wasted, so if i run it threw this rad, itll recoup some of the energy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It works well, just need to sort the exhaust out to atmosphere now, and venting it threw the rad i dont need a silencer on it either.

it came out really well, i had to push it out the garage to paint the n/s wing, then pull it back in to do the rest !

paint was polished today, i used some 1500, then 2000, then a trizak disc. Its made such a difference, polished in no time and looks really good. The runs just went with some 1500.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So i started on the side of the car now...

 

 

 

 

its ready to mask and paint. Ill do the blow in on the scutle at the same time too.
