Yes I like the blue holmsey, nice with the silver flywheel housing and clutch cover.

Ha! Ha! I used smooth hammerite (black) on my 998 A+ Moke to cover the yellow, looks super. Maybe someone should try the green to see if it might be right colour.

Has it been ok with the heat? I have heard mixed reports on hammerite on engines, I am not 100% sure but it seems some of the lighter colours can discolour when the engine is run.

Edit- what did do to prep the block before painting?

My black has not faded, but then it is black. I cleaned the years of oil and dirt off it with scraper, Autoglym machine cleaner, pressure washer, fixed the oil leaks then brush painted it. Holmesy's blue looks very good.

i cleaned off all the loose stuff and then keyed they all over the painting area then degreased then gave it two coats, it has lasted well and has not faded plus its very easy to clean marks of oil or grit off, its just stinks for the first 10mins of heating up after that its tough and durable
