Just wondering as my mini is running very hot (yet again another prob from after work done on engine)
I’ve changed the temp sender, but haven’t had a chance to test drive yet.

The only other option I can think of is…
Could I of put the fan on backwards, despite it having “Engine side” stamped in to it?

Have a look at the pick and tell me what you think

Thanks,
Karl

Thank Fcuk for that ;D , didn’t really want to take the rad out again especially as when I striped everything the fan was on the other way round, :(
But it ran cooler the then than it does now

I have changed the thermostat for a new one (1976 on 88oc as per Haynes manual,) and was tested before fitted.
Should it be 82oc instead?

88 should be fine, might want to look at changing it if you find yourself in traffic alot on hot days.

Was going to say the problem is you have no rad fitted but that would be silly and childish!

You have no rad fitted! ;D

I'd say give it a warm up with the new sender and see what happens!

The fan fits correctly only one way. The "Engine Side" should face the engine, fitting it the other way reduces its efficiency. The blades have a curve in them, that is the reason they fit only one way.
