Just been sorting my panels out and found a strange thing.

I have a Heritage door step/ A pillar panel HMP441013 which is great because mine is missing; but the step has 2 indents for drainage. When I look at the other side which is presumably original these indents are not there. Is the panel for a different year Mini or has the 'original' one been replaced at some point? Minispares has this panel as listed for "wind up wind type",

What do you think should I beat the dents out?

Jason

The panel came with the car; the PO dismantled it more than 10 years ago so it may be their old design label?

It looks like a good idea to have the drainage but it would not match the other side and if I cannot get a new panel to match then it is prob best to knock them out.

The e-coat doesn't look like the stuff used by heritage in the op's pic it's very dull and would suggest a pattern part

All 3 of my minis have them on original door steps to drain water iirc

Maybe; but why would someone go to the trouble of sticking a Heritage sticker to it? It may just be that it is very old?

The original door steps on my '96 had them. It would be rather coincidental for storage dents to precisely match the drain holes in the door and I can't see a pattern part company going to the trouble of ''improving'' them

So it could be that it is for an older MIni? What are the years of your Minis?
