That is confusing as the RSP is 1990 so you would expect it to be the same as the 1989 Mini?
I think I need to have a poke around in the RSP forum.

I had a 96 with them too, think they all did but some have been filled with filler when resprayed.

I have a '91 Mini those dents are present on both sides of my car, original steps.

Cheers, I had a poke around on the original side and it looks like they are there but have been filled. Thats a bit of a worry as I thought that side was good and untouched. I will have to strip the paint and filler and see what I have.

Thanks for the responses I think we can say the indents should be there but previous owners seem to think it is a good idea to fill them.
