what does the screw on the bottom of a 25d type dizzy do? its the bottom left as you look at it.

Inside on the baseplate? Outside on the casing? Holding it to the block? Got a picture?

no pic at the moment, all i can say is that its next to the lead going to cylinder 4, it faces south and its looks like its part of a clamp. will have to get a pic i think lol.

Does it look like there's a shaft connecting it to the vacuum advance? If there is then it's the micrometer advance adjustment. Very useful but deleted from later dizzys for some reason.

yes its that, so what can i use this for? would i be advised not to play around with it?

Its for fine tuning the ignition advance, don't play with it except while tuning the engine.
