The wife said pretty much the same. Said at least it looks like a Mini now.

Lots of filing and rubbing back and finally etch primed and out with the spray gun and 4x coats of high build primer is on.
Sand back tomorrow and fingers crossed the colour will be on by the end of the week.
A little tip if you have a new spray gun they are full of grease and oil in the packet. You need to clean it thoroughly before using. I am glad I saw this on YouTube before I started.

The black paint went on this morning, for my first paint job for over 20 years I am happy with it.
I will flat it back and see what it’s like but looks ok.
Want to get the windows and doors on next just in case the house sale goes through quicker than expected.

Gave the freshly painted rear a cut back and polish. I am loving the cellulose it cuts back really well and shows a deep shine.
I also put some shiny bit on. Next is to paint the fuel tank and boot lid.

Looking back it was pretty close to being on the scrap pile but I love a challenge. Hopefully this is the year to get it back on the road. :)

It’s been awhile, house move has forced a quick paint job in February in very cold weather. I may need to splash it over again in warmer weather at a later date but the panels are protected for now.
The garage is now gone and the hunt goes on for a bigger house and garage.
I am itching to finish putting the car back together but for now it has to rest in a storage container.
