I have to slam my door to get it to shut properly. I don't know if this is a normal mini trait? Or is it because my door it sitting right? The frame should be sitting flush with the rear window post. Sit inside the car and look up to see if the seal is making contact with the window frame.

New seals will cause this, worth checking to see if its making contact all the way round. You could put a layer of vaseline over the seal all round and then close the door . Open and check to see whether there is vaseline on all of the door contact areas.
Ok cheers. The doors always had to be slammed to shut before I replaced the seals. I'll have ago with the Vaseline tho.

That could be the windscreen seals then? Ive had mine done so I know it doesn't leak thereMy doors did this and they wer nt fitting right. I still hav to slam them a bit compared to a modern car but sounds like they aren't quite right. My leak seams to be behind dash as well as doors lol never ends ...
