I am using the Dash 2 but also the DLP-1 dara logger which uses the GPS interface for the spedo. It works fine for me.

Yes, Once you have entered the tire circumference, rear end ratio, and each tranny gear ratio the dash 2 will display which gear your in by using the engine rpm and GPS speed.

I have the same problem as this, but have left it to come back to, as bodywork is all being replaced at the minute I have wired it to the front wheel, to get a reading without wheel spin, but trying to find a pick up point for the sensor seems harder than it needs to be, or maybe it not seeing the woods for the trees!

Good idea going for the front wheel, I used the front wheel and simply glued the magnet for the sensor to the inside face of the driveshaft. The sensor does need to be fairly close to the magnet though. just my two penneth.

Do you mean the drive shaft that has been shortened and fixed in to the frame to support the front wheels?
