How do I increase the sound

Noise = wasted energy
But if you do want to get a louder noise, and depedant on how much power your producing you could go to straight cut gears

Yes it's making boost you can hear it whine at 4500 upwards but could be my exhaust drowning out the sound

Try standing at the side of the road and have someone drive past.

Two things, if you use a 15% or 17% pulley the whine will increase because you're increasing the speed of the charger, you can normaly tell by the whine what size pulley you are using. Secondly the air box on a BMW mini also help reduce noise, if you fit a performance filter the supercharger is clear to hear!

When I supercharged our classic using a standard pulley I too was disappointed on how quiet it is unless you really rev the engine!

On my BMW mini yes, I went from a 15% to a 17%. The classic runs a standard pulley....

11% I believe is a JCW pulley so it won't be noisey...

Ok thanks
I think I will invest in a smaller pulley
Surly the point in a supercharger over a turbo is the whine

generally the reason people use superchargers are because you get forced induction lower down the rev range and thus no lag because its powered directly off the engine, but call me old fashioned
