Yh that is very true.
But I love the sound of the whine tats why I really want mine to whine

If you change the pulley to a smaller one you will need an intercooler which is near on impossible to do if you're running a suck through system, so be careful!

oh yeah they do sound good, but not the main reason why people use them ;)

have you thought about a straight cut box? I would keep the drops helical as they are too loud but a straight cut gearbox will give a whine in 1st 2nd and 3rd

I will try a 15% see how it goes for a while any problems I will go back to 11%
The under bonet temp don't get too hot to be honest
Changing a belt and pulley isn't too hard

More money for a straight cut box. My supercharger kit cost me £500 for a vmax kit

If you want to hear your supercharger whine, then convert it to blow through rather than suck through. Thats how my car is set up. With blow through you can mount your air filter directly to the end of your supercharger and it makes an awesome noise! I think with the suck through set up, the carb must suppress some of the whine from the supercharger.

Yes they are

they are always quite quiet, even the 112 on my jag is quiet with a bigger pulley. could go for a twin screw instead.

should have just wired your alternator up wrong if all you wanted was the whine. I get that through my speakers all the time :P

Do you have any photos of your blow through set up? who made the kit or did you do it yourself?
