Another vote for the UP here, they are solidly built and look cool to boot

hmm interestin thanks! be better than the 3inch of ice in my focus then

it really depends on the outside temp - how damp the interior of the car is - & angle of the screen

I regularly use a de humidifier in my car now cause the dog does get wet

Avoid the Aygo, very basic & not good build quality !

I agree, We test drove the Citroen C1 which is almost the same car just a different body style and it was like a hair dryer on wheels!

Another vote for the UP! That look great :proud:

The MINI One is worth considering if you take depreciation in to account when you come to sell (often comes out as lowest depreciating car in surveys). Latest MINI's are good on fuel compared to early models and the MINI One/Cooper diesels are road tax exempt and London congestion charge free. However test drive a MINI before you decide if driver satisfaction/fun/handling is important to you in your daily driver, as a classic Mini owner.

I run an Aygo for 5 years - build quality very good - reliability 100% - maybe newer ones not so good ?

good handling as well - but wipers crap , early clutch weak - modified now

as said above , basic models almost as basic as classic mini , but with ABS & electric power steering

60 mpg easily got , & with rear seats removed - lots of boot space (2 seater van)

got mine brand new 998 petrol for £5995 in 2006 , £20 tax - low insurance

couldn't fault it

ditto,
i used one of these at work (with peugot badges !) and it was used and abused for 4 or 5 years. i think its fair to say it was always thrashed as hard as it would go whether missing down the road or 100 miles on the motorway. i would say they are much like a mini in handling and performance but without constant maintenance. ours was lucky to get serviced every 15 to 20k.

I like the panda. I like the up but think its novelty would wear off quicker than the pandas.

But the Panda being a Fiat will break every 3 seconds.

The UP just, wont.

And £75 a month sounded good until you mentioned the before and after payments. Doesn't that add upto more than 8k! You could have pretty much any daily car you want for that price.

Well yes, that is how much a new small car costs unless you want a Daihatsu

Just seems a lot. I can't get my head round putting 2.5k down, paying £75 a month and still having to give them another 3.5k or give the car back. Not to mention depreciation on a new car.

Seems to defeat the point of cheap affordable cars. Im not trying to argue or cause offense to the OP, just trying to explain my original post.

Personally, id prefer a 2/3 year old car that's gonna still be a nearly new car, cheaper to buy, better specced and less depreciation.

OR run about in a £500 daily banger and have an awesome 8k fully restored mini and keep it forever! lol

because of the last four modern cars ive owned ive only kept them a yr each they were between thre-five yrs old and ive had to pay around 1k repair costs on each one even tho ive payed between 5-7 k for them!
so puttin 2k down payin 75 a mth for a brand new one ( thats adds up to 5k) safe in the knowledge its covered by warrenty seems cheaper! i wont be payin the last 3k payment id hand the car back there should be some equity in it that i can use a deposit on anothrer new car then keep the 75 mth payment goin amd get a new one every three yrs with no troubles!

the rest of my money can be spent on my mini! :P

so you get money back after the hp agreement - if you don't pay the final amount - never knew that
