Honda introduces the new MSX125 2013, the first "Mini Street X-treme 125" dedicated to young riders. a bike compact, low-powered, designed by Honda for leisure and entertainment. A bike with the same characteristics designed by Honda in 1963 was the Monkey. The MSX125 has compact dimensions to ensure that users of any stature and experience an easy-to-use, handy and fun.
In addition, amenities and appearance are real motorcycle, with brakes and suspension quality and very effective. The MSX125 is powered by a tough and reliable single-cylinder 4-stroke air-cooled 2-valve single overhead cam and 4 speed gearbox, electronic fuel injection PGM-FI with automatic choke and electric start. Engine that is capable of delivering 10 hp (7.2 kW) at 7,000 r / min and maximum torque of 10.9 Nm at 5,500 rpm / min.
The 125cc engine MSX125 comes from one of the most proven and reliable Honda engines ever produced to date in nearly 1 million units and famous around the world for its efficiency, durability and longevity. Further developed to equip MSX125 is now more fuel efficient, thanks to the use of technologies with low friction, such as the offset cylinder (already adopted on PCX125/150, SH125/150i, CBR250R and CRF250L) and the rocker roller for 'actuating the valves.
To ensure ease of handling and driving Honda has opted for a single-beam frame upper rectangular steel, lightweight but very strong. The main beam connects directly to the steering column with plates pivoting swing arm, to make sure that all the other components are visibly 'suspended' from the frame.
The precise configuration of the rigidity horizontal / vertical frame and the calculated flexibility in the swingarm pivot plates and motor mounting, ensure a perfect balance between comfort, safety and driving precision.
The adoption of this type of frame can also easily accommodate the components of the electronic injection system PGM-FI and the electrical system under the superstructures, without taking away from the petrol tank which can thus boast a capacity of 5.5 liters . The low weight, and with a full tank of petrol is just 101.7 kg and the low seat (only 765mm from the ground), anyone can experience the thrill of driving a real motorcycle extreme.
The equipment on the fork upside-down 31 mm (for the first time fitted to a model Honda 125cc), a ruggedshock absorber connected to the swingarm with H-shaped steel box section and section 50 x 25 mm aluminum wheels, cast from 12 "channel with 2.5" split-spoke design just like on the CBR, low profile tires in sizes 120/70-12 front and 130/70-12 at the rear. The braking system is maxi, with 220 mm front disc bitten by a
dual-piston caliper and rear 190 mm disc with single-piston caliper.
Digital instrumentation and sophisticated headlights with headlight bulb dual filament and LED taillight complete the picture of a young bike that will break the heart of boys and girls of all ages. Are well developed and registered 4 patents by Honda for the new MSX125 that is produced nell'avanzatissima Honda factory in Thailand. Patents all relating to the composite structure of superstructures join the frame, indicating a compact design that has only the dimensions, certainly not the investment to make it happen.
The color versions for the Italian market are two: Solid Asteroid Black Metallic and Pearl White Himalayans. The new MSX125 in Italy will be available from spring 2013 at a price yet to be defined.
