I'd imagine that the GP would be a better drive as well.

but obviously if you've always wanted an s3 you'll probably always kick yourself if you don't get one.
EDIT:^^^^^those wheels are horrible compared to the ones in the original advert.

I'll explain.
The GP's faults out weigh its benefits. For example; There are no rear seats, and its an all flat floor as far as I am aware so its not really even a boot. It also looks, In my opinion of course, very......Need for Speed ish. Sorry to those who like it.
The S3, well, first off its a glorified Golf. They're royally expensive and for a Four pot engine, if you're going to buy a fast Audi. It needs to be a 5 Pot. Its also a *******'s car, sorry. They're very dull as well.
So considering I've wiped out the two cars you said, I'll give you my opinion.
An EK9 Civic Type R - It'll never break, goes like stink and Looks the part.
A Mk5 Golf GTi - Edition 30 if you can get hold of one.
The Latest shape Fabia VRS - In green

Renault Twingo 133 with the Cup Chassis.
^ That would get my vote.
