Niether, Sorry I know thats not the answer you're looking for.

I'll explain.

The GP's faults out weigh its benefits. For example; There are no rear seats, and its an all flat floor as far as I am aware so its not really even a boot. It also looks, In my opinion of course, very......Need for Speed ish. Sorry to those who like it.

The S3, well, first off its a glorified Golf. They're royally expensive and for a Four pot engine, if you're going to buy a fast Audi. It needs to be a 5 Pot. Its also a *******'s car, sorry. They're very dull as well.

So considering I've wiped out the two cars you said, I'll give you my opinion.

An EK9 Civic Type R - It'll never break, goes like stink and Looks the part.

A Mk5 Golf GTi - Edition 30 if you can get hold of one.

The Latest shape Fabia VRS - In green :P

Renault Twingo 133 with the Cup Chassis.

^ That would get my vote.

It's always good to hear others chooses.

Although I really like EK9's I wouldn't sell my car for one, to be honest, I wouldn't sell my car for any of them you listed :P lol

Does anyone know what the GP's tuning potential is like?

I already know what the S3 is capable of

To say the Audi is dull makes it quite apparent that you haven't driven one! My friends is very lively and that's a diesel!

Looks.

Looks like every other Audi on the road, they're boring. They're common as Muck in Essex.

The MINI, as its an investment. Not the A3 because its a 5 door, so just looks plain. If it were a 3 door then it would look better. The MINI has lots of room for a MINI as it has no rear seats, as for tuning there is not alot you can do with them without spending lots of cash. LOHEN are the best people to speak to.

The fit and finish of the Audi is miles better than the MINI but, its just a plain Audi interior, much like all Audi's.

I wouldnt buy anything French, lets face it, it will be worth £10 next week.

If it were my cash I would go for the MINI, a, as i like them and b because it will be worth so much more that A3

I would go for the GP out of the two, I love the looks there is an original works GP that drives through where I go to college and always eye it up, the lady drivers quite nice to look at too ;)

For me, The GP looks like it would be a great car if your intended use was track days or something like that. As an everyday car, I think it would be more difficult to live with.

Audis are lovely cars to drive, and very comfortable. The S would be a bit harder than the normal model, but much more practical as an everyday car.

Noah, I don't think you can so no to the S3 and then take the golf. Modern Golfs, as good as they may be, are boring these days. Id personally much rather have the Audi over the Golf.

As for other alternatives, the AR Guilietta Cloverleaf would probably be my choice. Very nice cars, and you can have tasty options on it as well. I know plenty of people who had the previous model Focus ST, and I wasn't overly impressed with them. The new Meganes are actually pretty good looking cars as well, considering they are French! I don't really like the Fabia's all that much.

The other car I would look at is a 1 Series Coupe. Those things look really nice. But like I say, the Giulietta for me.

The 2006 GP is on my want list!! :proud:

Only 500 in the Uk and alot of those have been exported, great sneeky little investment car especially now the new GP is coming out. Because of that I think they're value will go down over the next year or 2 which is when I might POUNCE then over time climb again

Downside for me is the two seats but hells bells it means I cant take the kids out with me so its a win win!!

I can't make up my mind! I'm putting the VXR up for sale soon, but it's only between these 2 cars. If I had the money then I'd of went with a focus RS, no way can I afford one of them though

Depends what Golf, I`ve got a MK5 GTi and its a great car and not boring at all. Saying that I would have an S3 straight away, quicker and nicer interior.

I see the appeal of the GP but the practicality of the Audi wins every time for me.
