TPFT on a totally standard 998cc mini
Under 1000 miles a year
Ive been driving since August 2005 and my no claims bonus started in september 2005 and so in september 2006 i wil have one years.
Also not sure wether to go under classic insurance? is this cheaper?
Just want a very basic cover that will cover me for the limited mileage i will be doing after i get the mini back on the road.
Cheers all

You need a simple limited mileage policy. Give a few people a ring and see what they quote. Make sure though that you still accumulate your no claims! (some dont....)

If you tell them it's a second car, a lot of insurers have started doing a scheme where you can add a second car wih a limited mileage for a very piffling amount of cash!
Call them up!

classic insurance is cheaper, but if you're under 21, they won't touch you!

I'm pretty sure my insurance is a classic policy and I'm 17..

Oops. Musta missed something, No you can't accumulate on two concurrent policies.
You can, I've had two policies with HIC now for two years, had a crash on one last April but in September I'll still get 3 years NCB. Although this is a bit irrelevant since I'll be moving onto a classic policy in the summer when I insure the Vtec which doesn't take any NCB into account and won't accumulate me any either!
If the 998 is totally standard and you don't plan to modify it much you may find one of the more mainstream companies are cheaper.
I'd try:

Adrian Flux
HIC (Mini World - get 15% off for being TMF member!!)
Footman James
