I only have one part of the door bars in. I will finish them off on thursday.
As for the bar in the front, it will be tied into the steering rack and the lower subframe mount. If I feel ambitious enough I will tie it in to the top subframe mount too.

I'm going to start off by posting the final picture of the roll cage finishing off the door bars.
Then from there I was able to get my steering in place.
Got the caliper brackets all done and the brakes all mounted up.
Lower engine mount.
My solution for the shifter is a bit interesting. I tried mounting the shifter in its standard spot, but because I have a MKI the shifter took up all of the room in the exhaust tunnel. I did not feel like cutting the floor apart to run the exhaust. So, I raised the shifter by fabbing up a box out of aluminum to raise the shifter about 6 inches, but I had trouble getting the linkage to work.
Modding the shifter tubes in an arc or at a right angle wouldnt alow the shifter to move side to side. So I had to come up with a straight piece from the shifter to the tranny.
And everything installed.
Because of steering interferience I had to shave the crank pully down.
Next was on to the drive shafts. Cut on the lathe, then TIG welded together.
More to come soon.

Some of the new bits that I picked up recently. A plastic ammo box for the light weight battery.
My hydtolic handbrake That I still have to figure out how I am going to mount.
And my new aluminum rad that I need to modify to fit in the front of the car.
I was able to get my iintake mounted. Just 15 degree cut and welded it back together and it cleared the bulkhead quite well.
I also worked away at getting the front end fitting some what as I don't have my hood latches yet. I also insisted on using my 4 to 1 header to get a bit more midrange torque out of the b16.
And finally, my some assembly required fuel cell. I wanted to try and make one for the challenge oof saying I could. Its a 5 gallon cell that will use the honda fuel pump and it will also be filled with fuel foam.
Holes cut for fuel pump and acess to cell foam, as well as to dip the tank if I need.
Made some nuts to be welded on the back.
And all welded up and water tested with filler neck in place as well.
Next step was to get the trunk floor ready for the fuel tank and battery box.
And everything set in place.

Yeah I water tested it and I have the fuel cell foam for it as well. But you are right about testing it and filling it with foam.

You will have a fuel leak. Send it to a radiator specialist they can do pressure testing. Or a proper fuel tank supplier. If you have a leak you could burn the car to the ground:(

I was able to get my rad mounted
As well as the exhaust.
Then turned some attention to the interior. Dashbord figured out.
Some body bracing to the cage.
Then sorted some fuel. Filler neck and fuel lines run.
Driveshafts were next on the list. Assembled then installed
Then some exterior panels. Mounted the front end.
Unfortunately, we all know how well the fiberglass fronts fit, so I had to add some. I will smooth it out later.
Then installed the boot lid.
And of course the doors. (I only have a pic of one at the moment but it looks the same only on the other side.)
