Go for 1310. (nearer to 1312 actually ;)) you havnt made the most out of it so why use up more block for 2 hp? Put a more manly cam in it ;)

i like your thoughts :P
do you think a 276 kent will do? feels good to be honest, the torque figures seem to be better than the 286's?

^my god snap.

I'd go for a 276 if it's used a fair bit

286 if you don't use it all the time.

296 if you a real man;) (don't do that it's a race profile)

For a road engine where a couple of BHP are not important it is best to go up 0.020" at a time until you have a 1330 which needs re-boring. Then you just sleeve it back to 1275 and you have, effectively, a new engine at standard size.
The only real reason for going straight to 1330 is when you need that extra couple of bhp to knock a couple of tenths of a second off a lap time or to reduce the time 'up the hill' when hill climbing.

I have a 276 in my 1330 and its a nice all round cam without revving the nuts off it to keep it above 3500rpm, bit lumpy idle will do every day and still produce power.

i think 1310 is a good medium, but what power would i expect to get? with a large valve head and a ported polished head?

thanks

with a 276, and a good head say 36 exhaust and 30 inlet, a compression ratio of 10.5:1, hif44, lcb.

you should be expecting round mid 80's

The 276 is a '*******' cam, the only cam I've ever fitted for anybody else, that hasn't resulted in disappointment is the 286............
