When I had stinky I quite fancied the idea of using reverse rim cooper wheels and then fitting the clubman plastic hubcaps, would look kinda stock until you looked closely at it. Nice and subtle.

I looked into the Cosmic alloys......nice but not sure, just don't fancy alloys for certain reasons,will look into the reverse cooper wheels......

Looking great. fantastic pace too!


Cheers Elf. although the clubby looks good,not easy to do repairs and not damaging the good bit's but getting there.


As for progress today,...slow....had the door back in after the battle with the hinges might trow in a few shimms, it looks ok, and prepped wing and A-panel and scuttle closing plate for welding back on tomorrow morning,..... and done a few bottum door repairs

as mentioned yesterday, welding day today.....

unfortunately the action piccies they where to bad to use (started 8am).... so a few piccies at the end of the weldatron....(1.30pm)

a-panel and wing b4 the repair of flitch, foot-well door-post.

managed to do a few little jobs,.....after fitting the wing and a-panel etc, I cleaned and sanded back the welds, folded the a-panel lip, seamsealed all the joints, that was the messy job this afternoon, after work tonight, gave it all a good coat with Por15

Autopaint in hadley are open till 12 and are a lot better and cheaper.

Cheers, I know border motors, bought brushing on paint for Evy and Muk there before, I don't have a compressor so need rattle can for the outside panels, inside I can brush paint...

I will see them in the morning, thought they did only do spray paint for comrpessor use...thanks for the tip. Got to start otherside next week....................to keep up wiv someone on here

still need to sort the engine.
by the way matty drove all the way to Newport (had only 3 driving lessons), I was sh.tt..ng it, he was shaking when he got there but we did get there in one piece.

I suppose that would have wooken you, he done very well just need to find his way becoming one with the machine, the more miles he does the better

I remember driving my Mum in my old mini, looked over at her she was staring at the window crapping herself!! I asked her what was wrong and she said" I can remember pushing you in a pram, you driving me in this death trap seems un-natural!!!"
