his bumper is dead, with some damage to the wing. as for mine, the lights broke, the panels pushed in at the top of the light as well as some dents to the side, and the seam on the side has a small bend in it. He said he does not want to go through insurance and will get it repaired for me.
know ive been advised by mates and people at work to go through my insurance. Also as the days been progressing my necks been getting stiff and starting to get sore as is my back. going to doctor for this tomorrow told my manager who said i should do a injury claim for this, but would i be able to if we sort this between ourselves?

Have you put his reg through askmid.com he might be uninsured.
Hopefully you took some pics and took down some witnesses details.

You better make sure he actually has insurance.
And for fixing your car you want a specialist doing it.

unfortunately no witnesses as it was quite, it was right in front of a petrol station so hopefully they have cctv!
is it worth going hospital, i was just going to go to my surgery tomorrow as it aint that bad right know, just a bit sore.
Also am i right in thinking the insurance company will look at the rest of my car for the valuation, dont have a agreed value on it! as few weeks ago someone kicked my door in which i didnt claim for any the front end needs some repair work!

its actully illegal not to go thru insurance mate,
I don't think it's actually illegal but it is almost always a term of your insurance that you must inform them about any accident you have, but i suppose if you don't tell them they could invalidate your insurance and then you'd be driving uninsured which of course is illegal.

i was going to inform them anyway 1st thing tomorrow just incase the guy becomes an idot, and i dont like his way of getting it repaired. im going to try and get it on a ramp to check for any other damage underneath, dont think there will be, but just incase

they will probably write yours off with no agreed value, DONOT LET THEM TAKE IT anywhere!, you will be able to buy it back off them and repair yourself
OH DONT WORRY NO 1 IS TAKING HER FROM ME!!!
i will never let her go, i remember my brother and dad buying the cars back of the insurance. Well with my brother they said no, then he didnt let the scrap men take it so they let him keep it at then end haha, and the car didnt even get registered as insurance right off for some reason.

A defence layer would argue that if you were really hurt you would have gone to doctor today, and you've only decided to see a doctor a full day later because your thinking no win no fee, you've admitted as much on a public forum - not a smart move really mate
Claim for your repairs through your insurance, if they write it off buy it back off of them.

i get what you saying about going tomorrow and what the lawyer would say, but after 9 its impossible to get a appointment at my surgery, and at first the i couldnt feel anything, its just as they day progressed i can feel it more and more, to be honest it isnt that bad. From what i have been told you generally feel the pain later anyway, i dont know how these injury claims or anything work, i was just told by my manager as i told him i might not come in tomorrow as i may go to the doctor
