Is a 15amp cable with a 10amp fuse going to be correct?

Sorry to drag up an old topic but it is related and you'll be able to answer straight away I'm sure! Going to run a permanent live for my new CD Head unit. I have a four fuse box on my 1991 Rover Mini - which one of the fuses should I run the wire from and what type of wire should I buy?
