where are the drain holes, there's a gallery evident on a 1275 'n obviosly the small bore blocks have the tappet chest. I thought maybe over the fuel pump or dizzy drives on the cam but theres no exterior evidence.

Not from the outside, but you can see it from the sump

There are two holes, one between cyinders 1/2 and the other between 3/4. there isnt one between cylinders 2/3 because the canter main bearing and cam bearings are there and is rather a structural area of the block
