Seems VERY steep to me! To be honest, you could get a pretty good job at home with a rattle can IMO as the arches are curved, meaning that defects are not as easily noticed. If you take your time, I reckon you could get a great result at a fraction of the price - and if you mess up, buying a single new arch is £5.

Give it a shot and if you dont like your results, you'll only be a few tenners out of pocket. =)

True, I guess I'll order a set of 4 and try it, if I mess it up then I'll just use the ones it came with for now, and maybe get them done professionally later.

Yeah, if you do one and mess it up, you can just replace that individual arch very cheaply =)

What would you say is a realistic price to get them done? As I'm looking at a few other places.

Managed to get a quote from them for £165 including postage, should I???

I reckon £100 tops is reasonable.

Try it yourself! Get some plastic adhesion promoter, some tahiti blue paint, some clear coat and a little wet n dry! It will come out a treat!

Yeah I'll do that.

Also need to sort out my slightly bent bonnet (http://i.imgur.com/1TF5D0kh.jpg) and rusty chrome around the headlights.

Yep it does. Not quite sure what I prefer. Mine is a 1998 too :)
Which tyres are you using? Always find it hard to find tyres in that size.

Believe they're Yokohama A539.

Lovely car:

Buy some new arches for £20 and get them painted professionally :), then just remove old one sand self tapper the new ones on. :P

It's tempting, I'd need to find a decent paint shop around my area though (Tunbridge Wells) and I'm not too sure how much it'll cost! Definitely doing it though, fattail's car looks brilliant with painted plastic arches.

I grew up in Tunbridge Wells. Whereaboouts do you live now? I think you are right though, there are not really any decent paint shops around there. There are a few in Kent though.

Some very nice minis on here. I have to say, for the standard arches, I prefer them in black. Many other I prefer body colour though.

They look like death.

Please don't, you'll instantly regret it when you put them on as well. You'll be forever buffing out finger prints.

Painted in Tahiti Blue is the only way.

Ok then, I'll get them painted Tahiti Blue. Ordered a set of 4, think I'm gonna get Spray Shack to do them, want it to be the best possible finish and know that I wont be able to do them perfect!
