I thought I would start a thread of my restoration that I am about to embark on after selling my 1950 Wolseley 4/50 and purchasing a 1964 Morris Mini Estate Woody.

Got a full floor tub from Mini Machine and loads of other new metal to start putting some stability back into the shell but it will be steady as it goes or it will snap in the middle and end up like a banana.
The floor is the worst part and once you get above the door steps it is not too bad but I love a challange and a project that I can get my teeth into.

I have got the floor pan with the round tunnel and floor start, My plan is to put the car back to total standard with no extras and even keeping the crossply tyres on, I know it will be a tough job be im in it for the love of cars and not a fast buck.

I am finishing off a 1948 Francis Barnett Merlin at the moment and once that is done I will get cracking on "Rusty"

It is a 1952 BSA Bantam D1 Plunger,I Restore a motorbike during the winter to keep me sane as I only have room for one car.

Love the Franny Barnett! I had a series of James, including a Cotswold. Amazing fun for the money. Down to a corgi and AJS M20 in bits now.

At last! A knackered woody resto. I have a smooth roof '62 woody in the queue, and the floor section is totally shot. I will be going the m-machine full floor pan route too.

As you say, stopping the shell going banana shaped is crucial. I can't even open the doors on mine, will be tricky...

Good luck, and lots of pics please!

Hello all Woody Fan
I am a Morris Traveller fanaticwith a 1969 rust bucket, but as I think that it is the last one to be built I intend to restore it to its former glory, must do some investigation.
Also I want to do a register of all known MK1 and MK2 Woody Travellers, so could all owners please reply on this forum, or by a PM, with the registration and year of the car.
According to the DVLA there are 136 out there so hopefully I can find a majority of them.
Regards Woodyman

There is already a register for the Countryman and Traveller models.
