Hi folks, any of you guys know where i can source some LED bulbs to replace the original 2.2 watt ones that are fitted to the Smiths centre Speedo, and the 52mm auxiliary gauges.
My eyesight is not as good as it was but when it was 20-20 i still struggled to see the readings at night.

Put led bulbs in my brake lights and there rubbish. I've changed them back to normal bulbs. Might be worth giving the holders a good clean as dirty connections make bulbs dim.

For the smiths gauges try something like this with several led's on it so the light going into them is not directional

Then there are these but I doubt they may fit in the gauges! (They may even be too bright)!

I haven't personally used the above so cannot vouch for them but when I get round to making my new Smiths dash I'll be giving the first ones a go... In blue. :-)

With regard to brake indicator etc I can vouch for these...

I use these for my reverse (white) and fog light (red) and they contain 2x 5W cree led's and 4x 1.5W epistar led chips totaling 16W of LED power each. They cost £15 each and these are some of the most powerful road led bulbs I've found. They are very bright!

I use the 7.5W 1156/1157 5x 1.5 epistar led chip bulbs with lens for the brake indicators etc. These are brighter than the standard 21W bulbs and cost about £15 a pair from this excellent chap on e-bay (although he now does the brighter 11w versions).

I've found a load more bulbs including coloured bulbs and have posted the links in this thread.

As there is two threads now on this subject I'll only be posting in the other thread.
