My names Dan and I am currently working towards getting 2 minis back on the road.
The first is a 1963 1330cc cooper with a weber 45 wedged in the bulk head that is a race prepped car which we removed the engine from on Thursday as it had no oil pressure and realised the shells (main and con rod) were mullered but it has had a lot of money thrown at this engine so were in a quandary as what to do with it now.
The second is a 1966 cooper s in red with black roof that is in fairly good nick but needs a bit of care and attention showing to it to make it a lovely car.
Looking forward to reading about everyone else joyous experiences!!!!!
Cheers

The crank amazingly has escaped without any issues we can see, although were still gonna get it reground and checked over. The oil pump is knackered which we think started this whole thing in the first place. We are definitely keeping the cooper s as its being restored now for my son who is 9 at the moment(so i might have to use it in the meantime for him) but i think the race mini will be going when its back up and running.
I have got some pictures and will put them on as soon as i get chance!
