You want to fit 4.5 inch tyres to 6 inch wheels. Why? Can't you use normal 165s??
Because ive just bought some good 4.5's but I'm buying new wheels so I was going to stretch them on

I'd like to know just how you can stretch a tyre for a 10" rim onto a 12" rim? As personally I can't see stretching the metal bands in the beads being possible.Last time I looked you use the same tyres for both 10"s and 12"s so no need to have undue stretch and inform your insurer

Ever used a tyre cheater? That and having to inflate stupidly low profile runflats to around 60ish before the beads pop or your ears afterwards lol.
I used to enjoy the tyre machine, but I couldn't do it for a job! Apparently you spray hairspray inside the deflated tyre and when you ignite it, the bead pops on.
Same as the deoderant method. Spray it in the rim/bead gap, it ignites, consumes the air inbetween the tyre and wheel and it pulls the bead onto the rim. I always take the valve pin out otherwise it makes a really strange noise, not my favoured method, scares the crap out of me every time.
The two inner tube method works a lot better, much preffer it to be honest.

I think I've seen one used if there the compressor type machines with the release valve that is terrifying :LEver used a tyre cheater? That and having to inflate stupidly low profile runflats to around 60ish before the beads pop or your ears afterwards lol.

Yep, the tank like thing you fill with compressed air with the quick release that allows all the air to release all at once into the tyre. Never liked using those to be honest, that and the face full off dust afterwards. But if you start the second bead with the tyre valve at 5 o'clock, once it fully drops onto the rim you'll very rarely have too many problems anyways.I think I've seen one used if there the compressor type machines with the release valve that is terrifying :L

I meant that both 165/70 r10s and 165/60 r12 will both fit on both 4.5 and 12" rims, obviously with being 10 and 12" respectivelyI'd like to know just how you can stretch a tyre for a 10" rim onto a 12" rim? As personally I can't see stretching the metal bands in the beads being possible.
