trying to insure my mini for when i come back from uni for easter, but I cant seem to find anywhere that does just a month, especially not a modified classic for an 18yr old, so i end up paying the huge deposit and cancellation fee for a 12 month policy, anyone got any suggestions for ways to get insurance for short periods?

I did it once for an MGF. Insured it for literally a couple of days, ridiculously expensive and pretty sure you have to be over 21 for most......
I think I went through temp cover as well?
Try a quick google search but I think you'll find most won't do it for a 18 year old unfortunately :/ Plus like I said its really expensive and you are probably better off paying the deposit then cancellation fee!

dont use it for a long term solution or for high powered cars youd never normally insure and its fine
could get away with it twice saying youve read through the terms and cond. and you dont agree with them

wouldnt push my luck with it but gets you insured for 28 days lol

may be frowned upon but its an option ;)
