First proper project thread, at the moment I'm just keeping the car ticking over until I finish my apprenticeship and get some money then who knows what will happen

Bought the car a year ago on Sunday didn't do to much to it for about 4 months just cleaning it,
Dad was using mainly as I couldn't drive so in June the MOT ran out and the fun began I knew it needed something's but it ended up costing about £600 it needed a new steering rack, I opted for the quick turn rack, new steering column, new front shocks, track rods ends and seat belts for the front. After slowly buying parts I got the car back in October rather dirty but I was please to have her home.
I passed my test a few days earlier so I sorted insurance and went for my first proper drive, and it wasn't great head lights pointing to the sky, steering was really light and didn't engage for about a 1/4 of a turn and a strange knocking. So dad took it back to the garage we got a different mechanic to look at it, he took It for a quick drive and labelled it a 'death trap' basically the steering column wasn't done up properly so swapped for a spare, track rod ends were some how upside down. They sorted that free of charge along with the headlights. Then about two weeks later the head gasket went in between cylinders one and two quick-ish job me and dad did it in two evenings.
Driving hasn't been to bad since then fitted an electronic ignition kit now new carpets, sound proofing, arches mud flaps engine bits mk2 lights fuel cap stone chip guards and a reversing lamp thats about it for now.
Oh and the exhaust has fallen off about 3 or 4 times due to the wrong brackets it seems to be fine now (touch wood
