I'm thinking of getting some sort of shark head. My drawing skills are not up to much but something like this.

That would annoy me!! I hate anything like that on my hands, can't stand it when people write reminders on the back of their hands!!

Not my cup of tea but then its not my hands!!

to be honest it doesn't bother me because its on the inside, i couldn't have had it on the back as i'm the same, it would annoy me as it would keep catching my eye. although having said that you'd probably get used to it.

Will it rust ?

No as the design came from the aluminium gear knob, but it may pit and become unsigtly lol

I am thinking either a shark head or one of those strange worm things with all the teeth. It needs to be hidden from the top so just underneath.

nope, but it will probably be gone within a month

It depends on the individual and what they do for a living to be fair. some people still have them after 10 years, some fade to nothing after 4-5 months, it all depends. although i told the tattooist to drive it in as deep as he possibly could so it would last longer so you never know.
