haha know how that feels wanted one for ages and insurance finally says yes picked up the headliner pillar trims etc today so got all the parts now

update crappy day started by trying to sort the sunroof took the whole assembly out and it broke so wont slide so thinking of replacing the whole cassette with a glass roof then went to plug the interior light in and reaslised ive brought a mk1 light and have a mk2 car so the wiring is completley different brilliant so pretty poo day overall but hey ho

right guys i need some opinions im gonna keep the wheels that are on for the moment but i want to repaint them im not a fan of black wheels im thinking gun metal grey but my friend thinks white im not keen or do you think leave them black opinions please

I think white or normal silver for white cars
Darker grey/silver could look OK too

update guys managed to vax the back seats yesterday the bottom part was disgusting but it came up so well really happy no stains so here are some before and after pics
also got a working glass mk3 golf sunroof all for 20 pound with the motor it came of a corrado so will fit it might stick up in the middle but will do for the moment till i get some new glass

update started prepping for paint got one door shut and the boot shut done not sure how im gonna paint them yet but they will be white and cant look worse than they do now

update painted the shut and sanded it back down ready for top coat also painted the engine bay so heres some pictures of before and after was only painted with a
brush i know not ideal but just want it one colour and gonna flat it hard and polish here some pics quite pleased with how they came out

and door shuts didnt take a before picture but was also that horrible purple and only done one so will show pics of the other ones

update fitted the new sunroof from a mk3 golf 20 pound well spent took a while to space it so it sits right its sticks up a bit in the middle but hardly noticeable and it all works and doesnt leak only thing is the spoiler doesnt come up you can put it up by hand but its a small problem considering it only cost 20 quid
ow and know most people will hate this but i did it anyway nice cheap fix and works well
