Hi, I'm a not really newbie but to the forum I am.
I was an MG Rover france employee and I bought my BRG Cooper MPi in the 'Fire sale' a the end of MG Rover in 2005. The car is an interesting one or at least how I came by it.
Registered in 98, the car was bought back from the customer in 2000 due to a corrosion issue. It was brought back to the head office and sat there for over a year. It was then stored on the transport compound until 2005! When we shut down, everyone had forgotten about it except one person ;o) I made an offer for the car and I've had it ever since.
I got it with 31000kms and now it has 38000. I don't know what the corrosion issue was, I still haven't found it! the car was pretty much perfect apart from tarnished paintwork due to 5 years outside. So one battery, 4 tyres and an alternator belt and thet was it. Now I have some issues to sort out so I guess i'll see you on th MPi section ;o)
Any other paris area owners on the forum, i'd be glad to catch up with you.
Cheers
