Hi everyone,

I've never used a forum before, so please forgive me if I do it wrong......

We've just bought a lovely Mini Equinox 1996 P plate from eBay. Seems in good fettle, except that the heater doesn't blow hot air O_O
Unfortunate considering the arctic weather out there this week........ hmmmmmm

The heater control plunger is jammed halfway in/out, and won't budge. Is this a common fault? The seller says it worked last time he used the car and of course I have no way of knowing if that's true or not.
The blower works, and the direction slider works, just no heat or plunger movement.
If anyone has any advice, I'd be really grateful :D
Cheers

Cool, thanks for the reply.
What seizes? the cable, or whatever is on the other end of it?
Also, if it's seized halfway out, shouldn't I be getting at least a bit of heat?

You could open the bonnet and disconnect the cable to see of it is the cable or the heater tap!

Replacing it is only a 5 minute job!
