NOPE! other than its up north...

Having looked through other projects it seems that the cost and quality of replacement panels seems to vary quiet allot. I don't mind spending a little more if it means the panel will actually fit and isn't made of tissue paper
Any recommendations? so i can look and mentally price up how much i will have to spend

with the panels.. do you no exactley what panels need replacing on the mini? can you fit the panels and do all the bodywork yourself as this will save you alot of money if you can.

i have never welded in my life, but i will be doing all the work myself. Im looking at a GYS smart mig162 at the moment. My neighbor is a professional panel beater so no shortage of expect guidance
Ahhh unfortunately the plants, inevitable food store's and rodents are not an optional extra and will be included

Is their any difference between this http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4d0a7227f9 and the mini I am looking at, other than the word Austin and Morris?
The one in the link is a Mk2 Cooper S, the blue one, by the looks of the gear lever and over riders, is a Mk2 1000 DeLux.
The case with mine was more of, I saw it and had to own it and didn't think bout it that much. From what I have read the MKII was only made from 1967-1970, the MKI was in production for 7 years. I do think that the MKII will become much more desierable in years to come if they already aren't at the current moment in time.
Mk2 Minis will never be more sort after than Mk1s. Most historic race and rally series require cars built before 1967 (i.e. Mk1 production) and most people prefer the moustace Mk1 grille.

The best place for panels is M-Machine in Darlington. They produce repro panels for the Mk2 and Mk1 models. Most other parts can be found through the many Mini suppliers, but good original stuff can still be found at autojumbles and on Ebay.

Oh of course, I realise that the MKII will never be as sought after as the MKI. I just kent in a general sense.
I was unaware of the age restriction regards historic competition vehicles, Interesting
