I've nearly finished making my Tamiya RC Mini so I'm after some ideas for colour schemes. So lets see yours. Also what glue do you use for the tyres?

I painted this about 8 years ago. I thought it came out pretty good. Coincidentally, apart from the Union Jack on the roof, it matches my Mini perfectly (which I bought 6 years after I made the R/C car!)

I believe I used Tamiya spray paint for Lexan bodies. You have to spray it on the inside of the shell. I masked everything carefully with brown packing tape because I had bad luck with masking tape.

Tamiya paint is good, it's surprising how far a little tin goes.

We bought 6 cans to paint our HPI baja 5sc body shell which is huge to say the least, it only need two and a bit cans which is nothing considering the size of the shell

Do you paint it before or after you cut the shell out?

Here's my shelf queen. E-bay bargain with all the radio gear included

I have purchased a new shell and plan to paint it up to exactly match my mini - even down to the Webasto sunroof. I have even kept a small bit of the old sunroof material which was replaced last year - sad I know

No, it's still bare plastic. Not sure what paint to use. I want to exactly match my car but i know the Haldfrauds paint isn't right as i've used it to touch up bits on the car and it definitely doesn't match.

Wondering where to get an exact match from.
