hi


ive got an iphone 3g but as its seems there is a well known problem with the wifi. as it can`t find any networks. anyone on here had one, and fixed the problem ?

I had one for a couple of years until before Christmas and I never had any problems other than talktalks crap wifi itself

not the s version....

tried the whole lot, factory restore you name it ive tried it.

went to an apple store over here, and they told me the wifi chip is broken.

difficult to replace ?

Probably. There are lots of kits on Ebay for repairing different bits of iPhones, the WiFi may well be a removable module. The only problem I have heard about or experienced was that one of the iOS updates didn't have a good enough routine for copying over your WiFi or Email settings, so it seemed like it was all broken after the update. But if you deleted and re-created all your accounts it fixed everything. If you've been through a complete restore though and it is still not working then it probably is hardware.

went to the apple store in belguim and they confirmed, new wifi module :(
