I'm sure I've seen it somewhere so please post a link if I am repeating a thread. I want to fit the above but I don't want to screw straight into the metal wing. Where would I buy plastic fittings to fit into the drilled hole and then self tap into these? B&Q?

Any pics of successful mounting solutions for these arches?

Jason

Thought about this last night and I'm going to insert small plastic wall plugs, they should do the trick?

The Simple answer is no. You have above suggested plastic plugs for interior trim, and been told twice, they are not suitable.

Now you are suggesting using rawlplugs (wall plugs) intended for the interior of a house.

Use either rivets, self tapping screws or as suggested above rivnuts.

Theres actually nothing stopping raw plugs from working, but I'm struggling as to why you are stuck on plastic

I'm just looking for a non corrosive attachment thanks. Rivets will encourage rust and are difficult to maintain. Just exploring ideas.
