I have Sparco Junior FIA approved bucket seats and they are very comfortable and they are very good at keeping you in place when driving wildly around corners, but as said before there's no acces to the rear because when you tilt them forward they hit the roof so if you want to clean your rear windows without having to do acrobatics you'll have to get them out of the car. This is how they look:Posted Image

Although that passenger 'seat' doesn't look too comfy

personally I've found (being skinny)is that cobra classics are just about the comfiest bucket seat for me, I sent near enough 5 hours sat in one as both a driver and passenger on one road trip. so comfy in fact I even managed to fall asleep on the way back, something I've never managed to do with the sit up and beg standard seats.

i travel 50-60 miles a day in my mini with cobra buckets. bit awkward getting in and out sometimes, can live with that not having to slide into each side of the mini with standard seats going round corners.

I have a pair of momo seats, I've fitted one and have a standard seat still for the passenger because I still need to make up another set of brackets.

I don't find getting in and out a problem, I'm 6ft... you just have to slide in the right way or you'll get stuck.
The best judge is how you use the car... I use it as an everyday at the moment and don't have any trouble with it comfortbility wise (and I suffer from a really bad back due to a motorbike accident). even though I use it everyday I do race around and take corners at speed, using double roundabouts as hairpins and basically treating the road as my race track. (before anyone complains I only do this when safe to do so and when no one else is about to get hurt if I make a mistake, I would also like to add I never break the speed limit... :whistling: ) this being said the bucket seat over the normal seat excels massively, I am held in place and feel in full control of the vehicle 100% of the time because of this, as before with standard seat I'd be falling off my seat and clinging to the steering wheel! which is why I made the change.

The comparison being that if I have passengers I cannot take corners at any sort of speed cause they fall all over the place being in standard seat...

My advice would be to do it if you want full driving experience (but fit both at once), only reason I wouldn't do it is if you wanted to keep the car looking period/unmodified.

i have these in mine.... a pair of microcell travellers.... best of both worlds i think after having normal seats and bucket seats... advantage is they fully fold up and lift giving easy access to the rear
