Hi all,

I have a question to ask and I'm hoping one of you great people can help :)

I'm after a switch kinda thing so that when I turn off the ignition power will go to what I need to work only when the ignition is off then when I turn ignition on the power will be off.

Hope that makes sense as its hard to explain :(

Hope someone can help thanks in advanced!

Michael

You could use a normally closed relay? (or just a 5 pin relay really) When the ignition is off, the relay allows your function, when the ignition is on, it activates the relay and breaks the circuit?

It depends what you are using it for though of course, there will better ways dependant on current draw etc

I'm sure if you look/test at the back of the ignition switch, there is a terminal that's becomes live when switched off.

Cheers
