Any help/advice needed please. I am ready to start fitting the interior back into my restored 1987 Mini Advantage. The floor is very uneven now that part of it was replaced and the insulation stuff (what else can I call it?) is all cracked and broken. What is this stuff? Looks like it is a liquid which is poured in from new and sets hard. Can I buy it or do I just scrape the lot out and fit the carpets directly onto the metal floor. If so how do I stop the carpet being all uneven as the standard floor is dished/ribbed for strength?

It will be best to chip the bitumen off, then you can use something like dynamat or another sound proofing insulation product before laying the carpet.
