Got the other hub cut down earlier so decided to finish off the rear end!

Hubs are now welded on and work perfectly, still some finishing to do on the frame but ill leave it looking ratty for now.

Seat is positioned but I may look out for a smaller one

Just need the bmx now to finish the trike

Thanks Tom, if there was enough interest I would think about making the frames and selling them without the seat or wheels

I just need to source a steel framed bmx now and it will be finished

Hey everyone!

Sorry progress has been slow, between problems on the daily and having no money I've been struggling to find the motivation for either of my projects!

But with brands hatch coming up and a few of you wanting to see it there I figured I'd pull my finger out!

Will hopefully have a seat of black mini specials on for brands to help fit in a little more ;)

I'm on the looking for an old steel framed bmx and a unicycle to butcher up, so if anybody knows of anything in the Surrey area please let me know.

Got hold of a bmx and chopped it up tonight!

I have to say this is by farthe coolest things I've built, besides the mini of course

One steel framed bmx


One bmx cut in half!


And payed in place to check everything and take some measurements.


Just needs one bar welded in and a few bits for the seat mount and its pretty much finished!
Need to get hold of a unicycle for the front wheel and pedals then its complete

It's finished!!!

Needs a little more paint and what not, but it's good enough for me!

Not a three bad outcome ben  ,

Think its a tad heavy judging by the wheel spin, might be time to shed some weight

 

Also id get some ratio gears sorted out for some high speed runs round mini shows

Cheers cliff, I don't think my weight is helping traction at all, but I was going uphill slightly. Goes quite well on the Tarmac though.

As for high speed, she's most definitely a cruiser!
