I have a small cover then jump leads and a tow rope and then an awkward boot liner. Get away with it every time ;)

Mine went through its MOT at the end of March, and they didn't fail it for that. Either they weren't too sure on the new rules, or it went in before the rules came into effect I guess?

Either that or they took pity on me with everything else they failed it for >_<

I have a monster battery, fits nice and snug in the battery box. Its not moving unless you pull hard.

It used to be a requirement years ago. Then they dropped it. It's back with the new raft of changes this year. I think it's important. Battery acid really makes a mess of your clothes when your trying to put it back in the battery box after some spirited driving. Also bought a Jaguar once where the battery had slid onto the exhaust manifold. Wouldn't have been pretty if that went up.
