This ones been running since Thursday last week and has made a massive difference,did yours come from the same place?

To be fair you are probably noticing a big difference because the points where badly adjusted and timing may have been out.

 

Can't say I noticed any great performance gains but there are less moving parts and less bits to wear out.

Points were quite hard to adjust as the distributor had a lot of play,sort of left to right.

 

If you were setting the points you turned it to the top of the ridge and you could twist it nearly 3/4 of the way to next ridge!!

 

Thats why I got the new distributor aswell and yes the points were a mile out !! But when adjusted they only lasted a few days.
