And yes ill check for the fog light wires. if there not there were do I run the fog light off?

I assume you would have to take a feed off of the tail light circuit, but with an independent switch. Obviously you have to be able to switch fog lights on and off independently, but I'm pretty sure that they also have to turn off with the headlights as well.

Jesus, I was thinking just running a wire under the wheel arch and putting indicators above the wheel arch. And yes ill check for the fog light wires. if there not there were do I run the fog light off?

mine passed without side repeaters but left wiring just in case and can put under arches. as long as they are present.

This has been interesting for me. I have an '84 citye, which has no foglight fitted. It has passed two MOT's like this, while in my ownership.
Maybe I should change the garage I use...

So basically I need to wire up a fog light for next year lol. Might ask the garage who tested it why it wasn't spotted.

In my younger days I would have done just that.....now I am older an wiser I would just take it back to the same garage :-)

You mean get it tested at the same garage so they can't fail you on it? I was thinking that as I never drive in the fog anyway but if I see a cheap fog light at a show ill buy it

I would suggest getting a fog asap. you definitely want to be seen in fog or heavy rain, especially given how vulnerable the mini is versus modern traffic.

As well as being law, both of these lamps are primarily fitted for your own safety.

I don't disagree with you but.....it seems that everybody is much too important now to slow down in adverse conditions. Seeing a fog lot is one thing, going at a speed sensible enough not to crash in to it is quite another.
