Ok guys, on the weekend I bought myself this amazing Mini 1275GT. I have already posted a few pictures up and Ive had such a warm welcome from many people already. So thanks =)

DSC00342_zps256b8275.jpg

Its got loads and loads of bits that have been changed, Cobra bucket seats and harnesses, the interior has been tidied up, alleycat wheels, spot lamps..etc etc.

There is no rust on it as its been completely restored, which is great, gives me more money to spend on other things ;)

The main one is the rebuilt engine, its only done 100 miles since last year and since it was rebuilt. But this leads me onto the first thing that I really need to sort...its over fuelling. The carbs need setting up properly, it ticks over quite quickly and its a bit of a ball ache to start sometimes. But im sure I'll get it sorted =)

The next thing I'll be doing is changing all the dials inside the car, the rev counter is a crappy digital one so that will be coming out. The fuel gauge has stopped working, and the temp gauge has stopped working too!

So My plan is to acquire a single temp and fuel gauge and get a brand new fresher looking tacho metre and speedo. Pictures to follow shortly of the dials that are in at the moment.

Ive got a few other plans lined up, nothing major just personal touches that I think will make the car even better =)

one of which is to get a centre exit exhaust, not sure whether I should get a twin exit or single?? opinions =)

DSC00336_zps23aad7c3.jpg

the tinted glass film needs sorting too...debating whether to rip it out completely.

Well that's the plan, so work should begin next week after a bit of ringing round and sorting out on my behalf. Thanks for looking!

okay, after not having the car for a while...the carbs have been correctly setup and ive changed a couple of things aswell. Ive also removed the mud flaps aswell...I hated them haha!

But next for me is the exhaust and interior. Basically, I think everything is standard on the engine so I was thinking of going for the centre exit maniflow exhaust. Is that a good option?? and does anybody have anyone a quick video of theyre maniflow??

And interior wise...Im gonna change the speedo and rev counter and go for three gauges.

just a quick question really, where is the best place for gauges?? I was thinking black aswell to against the cream dash...

Wow, this has been a rubbish build thread. Basically Ive been stocking up on parts and waiting to go from there.

I have however changed the exhaust and got a center exit maniflow system. So much better than the other side exit system previous. So, anyone wanting a side exit DTM exhaust system.....hit me up =)

So where do I start. Ive decided to drop 10 inch wheels. Luckily I managed to get hold of a lovely set of mambas. Pictures of those coming up shortly.

Ive decided to go the whole hog and get some 4 pots too! And many other bits and pieces to keep me busy =)

Ive also bought a new dash as I said I was going to in a few posts back. The cream one doesnt do it for me. Ive also bought a bunch of new Smiths dials. They'll go straight in and hopefully I'll be doing all this very soon. Just waiting for a couple more parts to arrive.

I can't wait to sort it. Waiting for some GAZ shocks to arrive to so I can do the lot in one go.

The alleyways are being sold to a friend of a friend. But I've not heard anything as of yet. And I've had another chap on here interested too.

Now then...more parts!

Decided to get the GAZ shocks whilst all the wheels and brakes are off. There is a knock aswell at the back, to me it sounds like the rear shock has had it....hence the full set of shortened shocks. Looking forward to getting these on =)

Also.....the one thing ive been after for a very long time, quite hard to get hold of too! 2 speed heater =D

Elf is a mini

managed to get hold of one from him. Id advise getting in contact with him if you ever need any parts or bits and bats. Great to deal with and couldn't recommend more!

Unfortunately when we decided to install the heater, the pipe work was the wrong size. Theres always something. So waiting for some new hoses and ducting to arrive before I can finish it off.

Looks a treat. The Making it better part is the best part i think. All the cutting, welding and snapping bolts get a bit tiresome after a while. but i wouldn't change it for the world. good luck.
